Glad to share that our recently published article in Nature Cell Biology. Pioneering and comprehensive findings in this study provide critical insights into the cervix biology and the transition points between the healthy and early carcinogenesis events. In this work, we: 1. Developed novel organoid models of the stratified and columnar epithelium of the cervix. 2. Generated complete cellular atlas of the uterine cervix. 3. Demonstrated the molecular mechanism of squamous metaplasia emergence, a precancerous condition. 4. Showed that adenocarcinomas and squamous cell carcinomas arise from different stem cell lineages.
